The Codru Moma Local Action Group Association represents a public-private partnership established under Government Ordinance no. 26/2000, dedicated to the sustainable development of rural communities across the Codru Moma microregion.

Through the LEADER Programme and the Local Development Strategy (LDS) 2014–2020, Codru Moma LAG supported investment projects aimed at farm modernization, diversification into non-agricultural activities, local infrastructure upgrades, and preservation of natural and cultural heritage.

Codru Moma LAG Territory

The Codru Moma LAG territory is positioned in the South-East of Bihor County and the North-East of Arad County, encompassing the partner local administrative units: Moneasa, Ignești, Cărpinet, Rieni, Lunca, Lazuri de Beiuș, Buntești and Câmpani communes, alongside the town of Vașcău. It brings together 46 localities totaling a population of 19,925 residents and a territory spanning 568.38 km².

The area demonstrates geographic, economic and socio-cultural homogeneity, with the population generally engaged in similar economic activities, sharing mutual rural development priorities and opportunities.

In order to ensure the optimal functioning of the Codru Moma Local Action Group and territorial animation, established in accordance with Government Ordinance no. 26/2000, governing bodies and administrative departments have been established:

General Assembly (AGA): The supreme governing body composed of all 39 partner entities, including 9 public authorities (23.07%) and 30 private and civil society organizations (76.93%), meeting at least once annually with full supervisory authority.
Board of Directors: Ensures the execution of General Assembly decisions:

Auditor / Financial Censor: Ensures internal financial and budgetary oversight.

Appeals Committee: Technical body responsible for resolving appeals and disputes regarding project evaluation results.
Administrative Staff: Executive team composed of LAG Manager, evaluation & selection officers, and project monitoring officer.
